About me
HEART
FIRST.
I’m Wayne Cumming—a Johannesburg-born pop vocalist, songwriter and stage performer with music in my blood and a big story still unfolding.

My story
Music was never just a plan. It was a connection.
One of my earliest musical memories is hearing “The Greatest Love of All” at six years old. That voice, that song, that feeling—I knew immediately that music would be part of my life.
My career began in theatre, performing in stage productions around South Africa and abroad. Those years taught me how to hold a room, how to tell a story with more than words and how to make every song feel alive in the moment.
As a recording artist, I move between contemporary pop, emotional ballads and Afrikaans releases. Strong melody sits at the centre of it all. I’m drawn to songs that feel honest, choruses that lift and lyrics that give a voice to something people already carry inside.
“Until I Forget You” will always be special—it was my first commercial original release and a real milestone in my career.Wayne Cumming · Artist reflection
Touring Australia remains one of my standout memories, but the bucket list is far from finished: more music, more shows and—why not—a number-one song.
